About Us

Overview
FNB serves the residents and businesses of Northeast Alabama with ten locations. For over a century, we’ve been dedicated to making the community better by helping people reach their financial goals. We’ve grown to a team of over 100 full-time employees who offer an exceptional level of customer service and expertise. Please browse through our website to learn more about the wide array of financial services and products FNB offers.

History
Through more than a century of changing times, FNB has loyally served the citizens of Jackson and DeKalb Counties. The Bank of Scottsboro was officially organized in 1900. In 1909, the bank organizers purchased another local bank named The First National Bank and chose to continue doing business under that name.

By 1966, FNB was a solid financial institution. It was time to expand, both at the main office and into the surrounding counties. Our current main office opened in 1966, along with our first community offices in Section and Woodville. The Pisgah office opened in 1967, followed by Bridgeport in 1969. The Skyline and Henagar offices opened their doors in 1986. In 2007 we started to look at expanding again, and decided that the Morgan City area was a good fit for us. We opened that office in January of 2008.

Also in 2007 in order to better serve our market and our local customers we converted our charter from a National Bank to a State Bank. Converting to a state charter enabled the bank to take advantage of Alabama's regulatory system, which is reported as being one of the best in the country. It also allowed FNB to continue honoring it's 107- year heritage as a true, locally owned, community bank. The reasons for a community bank to hold a national charter no longer exist. In fact, only 13 percent of banks in Alabama still hold a national charter.

Commitment
Our founders established FNB as an independent hometown bank, and we are proud to still be one today. We will continue to use our strength and commitment to meet the needs of our close-knit community.

Today and tomorrow, FNB will always be First for You.
